Why is my skin tight and itchy?
It could be because most store-bought soaps contain harsh surfactants that can strip your skin of natural moisture and oils.

Using real soaps provide gentle removal of dirt without removing natural fats in your skin's barrier layer.

Why is Natural Better?
Did you know that most of the commercially made "soap"... isn't actually soap?

It's mostly chemicals.... seriously bad chemicals.
According to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), most of the soaps on the market are made with synthetic detergent products.
Real soaps, like all the soaps at Bell Creek Soap, are loaded with skin-loving oils and butters that feed your skin with essential vitamins and minerals.
Real soaps are also loaded with natural glycerin, which is famous for drawing moisture to your skin.

Truth or Myth?
There's a lot of misconceptions about Tallow... so let's clear it up!

-
"Tallow is an animal by-product, so it's not good for the environment"
MYTH: Tallow is actually sustainable (unlike palm oil). Tallow uses a byproduct that usually goes to waste.

-
"Tallow-based soaps moisturize my skin better"
TRUTH: With it's particular combo of rich minerals and healthy fatty acids (not found in plants), tallow is also helpful repairing damaged skin, making skin appear more youthful, improving smoothness, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and so much more!

-
"Tallow soap can clog your pores"
MYTH: Tallow is rich in skin conditioners called oleic acid and because of it's similar cell structure, over time, tallow helps to build up our natural sebum which creates soft, healthy looking skin.

-
"Tallow soaps have more nutrients than other soaps"
TRUTH: Tallow has a unique combination of Vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K . This combo is NOT found in plants, like palm which is used in many, many homemade soaps.

-
"Tallow soaps smell funny"
MYTH: When tallow is rendered correctly, is has no funny smells.

-
"All homemade tallow soaps are the same"
MYTH: All homemade soaps are definitely NOT created equal. Most homemade soaps contain the same 3 ingredients (palm, coconut and olive oil). And while there are some good skin benefits in coconut and olive oil, you're missing out on so many other great nutrients for your skin.
